Despite its ultra-small SMD form factor of only 12 mm × 16 mm, the V-LD1 delivers outstanding performance. It supports distance measurement ranges of up to 50 m, depending on the transmission medium and the lens in use. The standard beam width of the module is 170 × 60 degrees, providing a wide field of view. For applications that require higher precision and longer ranges, RFbeam also offers a plastic lens accessory, which narrows the beam to 8 × 8 degrees. This makes the sensor ideal for specialized use cases such as tank level gauging, robotics, automation, industrial monitoring, and smart city solutions.
The V-LD1 is designed with integration simplicity in mind.
