Certificates
The V-LD3 is a compact 60GHz FMCW radar object tracking sensor designed to simplify the transition from radar evaluation to OEM integration. Based on Texas Instruments’ low-power IWRL6432 radar chipset, the sensor combines integrated antennas, factory-calibrated RF hardware and compatibility with TI’s MMWAVE-L-SDK and Radar Toolbox ecosystem in a compact 20mm × 25mm SMT module.
Designed for direct integration into end products, the V-LD3 enables developers to rapidly implement object tracking, presence detection and people sensing applications while reducing development effort and time-to-market. The sensor generates detailed 3D point cloud data of moving and stationary targets and supports multi-object tracking up to 20 meters and more.
Every V-LD3 module is factory tested, calibrated and preprogrammed with RFbeam’s enhanced version of Texas Instruments’ Motion and Presence Detection Demo. The firmware includes automatic loading of factory calibration data stored directly on the module, eliminating the need for antenna calibration during manufacturing in most applications.
In addition to motion and presence detection, the V-LD3 provides human/non-human classification, target tracking and full compatibility with Texas Instruments’ software ecosystem. Developers can leverage TI’s Radar Toolbox, MMWAVE-L-SDK and Industrial Visualizer to rapidly evaluate, customize and deploy radar-based sensing applications.
